Doesn’t make Free Republic look silly when they claim the sky is falling when Manhattan dish washers make $15.00/hr.

The real issue is how fast can they take the minimum wage to $15 in the rest of the state without causing major damage. All of NYC will be $15 by next year. Long Island and Westchester are at $12 and will be at $15 by Jan 1, 2022. The rest of the state is at $11.10 and will be at $12.50 by Jan 1, 2021. How fast it gets to $15 is yet to be determined.

Bzzzt! Sorry, wrong answer. Please enjoy our parting gifts.

The correct answer is, the labor costs are $0. She has no employees.

Unless you live far, far, from other people, living off the land is a fantasy.

That is true.

I grew up on 40 acres just outside of town with cows, horses, pigs, chickens, geese, and various other farm animals. We had a creek with enough crawdads and fish to keep kids entertained, not to mention the swampy areas. So we had tree houses and “forts” on the ground built out of scrap lumber and brush where we would pretend we were living off the land, by eating berries and occasionally even frying fish or roasting some poor unfortunate little creature we caught or killed with our bb guns on a small fire.

These days we have deer that wander around our town that are tame from getting handouts and have lost their fear of people. You could easily coax them into your garage or the back of your house. All of our neighbors were very upset during bow hunting season a few years ago when some trespassing yahoo hit a big buck with an arrow that everyone had been feeding for years.

He would walk right up to people and eat out of their hand. The arrow didn't kill him. People caught a few glimpses of him with an arrow in his side for a few days but no one was able to catch him until he finally died from the infection. Killing the neighborhood mascott wasn't very sportsman like. They did catch the guy who did it, and he got a fine.

Not true. She does not pay money to employees for labor, but her labor is not free.

The longevity of ANY mechanical contractor is very limited . If you are associated any way in that business you can name more that went out of business, than are currently in business.
