VMI is undergrad ... isn’t it unusual for an undergrad to have a specialty interest already before even starting med school? I have to wonder now how VMI alum feel about him ... his VMI background helped his ‘moderate’ persona.

Now, if you go to his VMI yearbook and take a look at his nickname(s), one of them (”Coonman”) is not very helpful in light of the photo in the 1984 med school yearbook.
