Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam is planning a news conference where he’s expected to say he’s not resigning and believes he was not in a racist picture featured in his 1984 medical yearbook.
Northam’s office on Saturday said the 2:30 p.m. news conference would take place at the Executive Mansion.

So if it wasn’t him, why was this on his yearbook page???
Did he approve the photo on his yearbook page, even if it wasn’t him? If so, why would he do that?
I’m all ears to hear what he has to say.
I guess there’s some written record of him complaining about the yearbook photo at the time?
He has to resign. For the lies more than the photo.

After the picture went public Friday, Northam issued a statement saying he was “sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in this photo.”
But the Democrat who spoke to Northam said that after further reflection the governor said he has no memory of wearing either of the racist costumes and doesn’t not believe he is in the picture.
Very interesting take on why Northam isn’t resigning .... the Dems need him to resign, but what’s in it for him if he does? Not really anything & it’s unlikely he can be impeached ... no high crimes/misdemeanors, they just don’t like what he did 35 years ago.

He will explain that:
a) he is a Democrat and therefore should pay no price or
b) Trump and the Russians colluded in the use of a time machine to go back and use a Sharpie to color in his face on the photo prior to publication
He’s claiming the picture is a mistake on his page, and he never kne it was there! Impossible.
I think he’ll do a hybrid approach. He now doesn’t remember being in the photo, but will resign.

What made the picture “racist”?
I worked on two high school year books and I was the photo guy and editor of my college yearbooks. I was the guy walking around campus with a camera ALL the time.
I decided what picture went where is a bunch of yearbooks.
Even back in 1982, there is no way in hell that a picture of someone in blackface or a kkk outfit would have made it into a yearbook unless the person whose page was being created, supplied the photo for “their” page. honestly, there are not candids of everyone taken by the staff. Pictures of parties and casual stuff like these photos are pretty limited. So, they had to come from an external source. There is no way the yearbook staff put this up by themselves.
These pictures were put on his page for a reason. They “meant” something to this guy. Pretending that he knows nothing about picture or why it’s there should be insulting your intelligence.
Watch, he is going to blame the yearbook staff. I want to let you know, that is bullshit. He is going to toss us nerds under the bus..

Actually, I hope he hangs in there and continues to embarrass the Democrats. Eventually they will force him out, but in the meantime, I like to see them preoccupied with evicting one of their own.
