That is true. I understand our desire to get out, but it does have consequences for people who have done a lot to end the global scourge of ISIS.

I think we have lots of means of coercion over Turkey besides putting 2000 human shields between them and the Kurds

The real reason we’re in Syria
To keep the Syrians from owning their own country and Assad from winning

Now that ISIS is finished, we go back to killing Syrians in “self defense”

Syrian’s will never own their country as long as Assad breathes. I wish it were not so, but it is.

Long history, Threats against Israel, Kobar towers, Lebanese Christian dead because of Assad support.

Some here defend him, even say he practices Christian rites. Headshake.

Every time we have bombed a SAA position it was because of Iranian elements. The response we made to Wagner group forces (Russia mercs) were because of Iranian force behind it.

The US does not like Assad, Assad does not like, but fears the US.

Assad will never let the Syrian people be free to cooperate between factions. It keeps him and his in power.

He is not as benevolent as some here say he is toward Christians. That does not come from news sources her in US. That comes from multiple people I know well in the Middle East.

Nobody understands this conflict except those who have lived through it. They know all the factions and their motives.

I'd prefer we were not there in Syria. Trump obviously does too. He is trying to clean out our own snake pit and this is a big sink of resources which interferes with that.

This conflict could be solved peacefully and quickly and life could go on, except for Turkey's ambitions and those of Iran.

We wait and see what happens.
