That 'assignment' occurred at conception. What happens to the body after that, is a mistake of nature in the mother's womb.
A BC contains the apparent, unmistakable gender ID, via the appearance of a penis or vagina. In fact, gender can be determined inside the womb, many months before the baby is ready to exit into the world.
If gender ID can be assigned years after birth, a baby's physiological development went awry inside the womb, via imbalances in the chemistry of the mother or other DNA related malfunctions.
