Academy Awards Confirms No Oscar Host for Telecast

The Oscars ceremony will not have an official host this year, an Academy spokesperson confirmed to NBC News.

Variety reported earlier that the Oscars will instead recruit stars for various roles in place of "one marquee name to kick things off in a monologue filled with Trump zingers."

Comedian Kevin Hart in December stepped down from hosting the Oscars after past homophobic tweets resurfaced.

ABC's new entertainment chief says this year's pre-Oscars disarray had an upside.

Meh. I haven't paid attention to that travesty in decades. Decades. The last time I watched was to make sure The Exorcist didn't win best picture. And as much as I loathe Bob Redford's politics, I was glad to see The Sting beat out Exorcist.

But that would have been in the mid 70s. That's the last time I paid attention to the oscars.

The Oscars used to be one of the viewing highlights of our year. However since Hollyweird went off the rails and became an anti-American, leftist, hatefilled organization filled with self righteous, activist "actors", writers, producers and directors that perpetually support and promote perversion, and churns out socialist, pc, sjw propaganda and dreck we have stopped going to the movies and haven't watched the Oscars in years.

We refuse to watch people who play make believe for a living denigrate us and our great nation and tell us how awful we and our country are any longer.

I'll save you the trouble: Best Picture will go to "Roma" about a maid in Mexico City amidst the turmoil of the socialists vilently taking over in the 1970s and killing the "Mexican Miracle" that had given them a booming economy for 30 years prior to them taking over and converting it into a backwards third world nation that survives by invading another country and working with drug cartels to kill people slowly.

Of course that backstory isn't portrayed as such, as far as I can tell, Don't know because I haven't seen the film but based on an interview with the filmaker I'd say it's about right.

So oppressed poor minority, socialism winning. Of course that's the winning Best Picture.

Please, it's not about that, just think of the opportunity this affords the liberal socialist elite to parade a number of so called 'comedians and entertainers across the dais to insult Trump, Christians and conservatives with their vitriol, baby murder fantasies and illegal alien fan fest.

I haven't watched the Oscars since Billy Crystal in 2004, it has become nothing more than liberal orgy of bad taste and vulgarity. The liberals are ugly enough without presenting themselves to us with their masks completely removed.
