There’s two points here.
Yes, what happened to her is tragic - and she’ll get no legal compensation.
That said, politics is a blood sport. You can argue all you want about fairness, but that’s the way the real world is.
VA Democrats wanted to live by the sword, they can die by the sword. This A-Hole deserves to go down. Yes, we call that a win.
But this sword swings two ways.
The more you promote and expand injustice, the more danger you and your people will be in, because you can be sure that the promoters of accusations like this (the press, the media, Hollywood, etc) have you and your friends as target #1.
This is why we have courts of law. The laws, and the procedures by which they are enforced, are there for our protection, and discarding them for temporary political advantage is foolish.
There’s the Court of Law, and the Court of Public Opinion (which plays out as politics). Both are always in action, don’t ever forget that - Politics 101.
He’ll never be convicted in the first.
The second is up in the air at the moment.
