Too bad this woman wouldn’t care for a baby who was handicapped. Sounds like the early years of Nazi Germany.

Sounds like the early years of Nazi Germany.

I think the term was 'useless eaters'.

I have a good friend whose daughter was born with a terrible disease/condition - I do not know the name of it. But she was a quadraplegic. The doctors told her the baby would not live long. She lived until she was 26 years old, sadly dying of an infection that went into pneumonia and couldn’t be cured.

My friend ended up being a single mom because the dad couldn’t deal with the illness.

She raised this daughter and another child all by herself providing the round the clock care with the help of visiting nurses.

Her paralyzed daughter became a vibrant, loving Christian young person and is in heaven today.

This child would have been a candidate for post-birth abortion (being aborted at the moment of birth).

My friend of course is strongly pro-life no matter the condition of the living child....

Also, I have read that spina bifida can be surgically repaired in the womb.

This woman in this article had a difficult situation, but she and her husband could have taken care of that child and, perhaps, surgery could be done for the child.

So very very tragic.
