The public face of the Church of Scientology is benevolent.
For decades the church has enjoyed the razzle-dazzle of its celebrity members and high-profile spokespeople, including Tom Cruise and John Travolta.
But beneath the glamour and celebrity is a veil of secrecy, with disturbing cult-like practices and serious allegations of violence, abuse and even claims of holding people prisoner.
60 Minutes travelled to Scientologys California HQ the Gold Base just outside of LA where reporter Tara Brown went looking for answers on Shelly Miscaviges disappearance but instead, 60 Minutes cameras were met with hostility and an angry attack from Scientology representatives, who refused to identify themselves.

in the tv series they have presented dozens of witnesses against the “church” are they all lying?

He also has a telling Joe Rogan interview.

Show me Shelly and I’ll take your seriously.
OK, it’s Australia, not USA. Didn’t see that.
Hit journalism is still hit journalism. Talking to somebody else’s TV cameras is rarely a good idea.
And BTW, I’m not defending $cientology. Hubbard was a con-man; his organization are liars, fraudsters, and murderers.
They’re in the same sewer as Big Media.
My point is that hostility to Big Media should never be viewed as a sign of guilt.
Yeah that was what I was thinking, somebody can actually influence the irs......too bad it’s this lot.
My comment was about the IRS decision not Scientology.
Same has been said about William Dafoe playing Clark in the movie Clear and Present Danger
