Backstory to the Howdy Doody character: actress Judy Tyler who played the Indian princess was killed in a car wreck in 1957 along with her husband; he swerved to avoid a trailer & collided head on with an oncoming car. She was 24.
Anyway, Princess Grey Beaver will not live down her lie. As the French say, “worse than a crime, it was a blunder”.
