In an unprecedented rebuke under the new Congress, House Democratic leaders on Monday roundly condemned Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., for statements about supporters of Israel that were widely viewed as anti-Semitic and called on her to apologize.
The statement issued by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic leadership team followed the latest in a string of controversial comments from the freshman lawmaker -- as well as pressure from Republican leaders to speak out.
“Anti-Semitism must be called out, confronted and condemned whenever it is encountered, without exception," the statement said. "We are and will always be strong supporters of Israel in Congress because we understand that our support is based on shared values and strategic interests. Legitimate criticism of Israel’s policies is protected by the values of free speech and democratic debate that the United States and Israel share. But Congresswoman Omar’s use of anti-Semitic tropes and prejudicial accusations about Israel’s supporters is deeply offensive.
"We condemn these remarks and we call upon Congresswoman Omar to immediately apologize for these hurtful comments."
The statement came after several other senior Democrats had weighed in, including the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee on which Omar sits. “Anti-Semitism in any form is unacceptable, and it’s shocking to hear a Member of Congress invoke the anti-Semitic trope of ‘Jewish money,’” Rep. Eliot Engel, D-N.Y., said earlier Monday.

The leadership in the House is probably having some second thoughts on supporting this criminal, AOC and the other one from Michigan. Three spoiled brats that can call out every card in the book and won’t take NO for an answer.
They know that she’s an anti-Semitic muslim, she just needs to stop expressing it in public. Like all the other democrats.
I don’t understand how Muslim women can be in elective office in the first place. It’s against their religion to leave the house alone without a male relative.
No non-native born person , ‘naturalized’ or immigrant , should ever be able to run for or hold elected office in the United States .
The ability to hold or run for office should only occur in the 2nd generation of LEGAL immigrants , born in the U.S. ( maybe the 3rd)
Unquestionable loyalty dedication to the American cause must be a qualification of anyone running for U.S. elected office . No immigrant has that qualification , regardless of what they may say . Only time and generation prove this qualification .
ALL these foreign born politicians whom have infiltrated our government need to be removed from office. ASAP
If it was a Republican ... there would be calls for the woman to resign.

Yep, the three of them are thrilled with their new found fame being in the spotlight, they’re worth about as much as a fart in a skillet.
Are they removing her from all committee assignments, like was done to Rep. Steve King?
