Police say they’re trying to determine the origin of the rope that was used in the alleged attack. Detectives are looking into where it came from or where it may have been purchased. Can anyone remember this type of effort being spent on any other simple battery, even if it had a "hate crime" element attached to it? For pete's sake, he even brought a sandwich home ON VIDEO after supposedly suffering this horrible attack that broke (or bruised) his ribs.
