After watching ‘The Favourite’ at the theater, I turned to my husband and said ‘I feel sorry for all those who died long ago and are now being claimed as gay’. People actually believe that movies tell the truth and historical figures can’t refute the storyline as they are dead and gone. So, now Queen Anne will be remembered as indisputably being a lesbian. And not too long ago there was the claim that Abraham Lincoln was gay, despite his marriage and multiple children. The Agenda speeds forth, unabated.
The period of history in which "The Favourite" is set is a period I have read a lot about (mainly for the War of the Spanish Succession). I refuse to see that movie. They may as well have claimed that the Queen and her favourites had wings and could fly.
