If Trump goes, Pence is there. Pence can just appoint someone else for VP and so on and so on. They would never be able to get to Pelosi.

I looked it up. Anyone who then President Pence would appoint to replace him would have to be approved by a majority of both the House of Representatives and US Senate. If no one gets those majorities, next in line is Nancy Pelosi.
