A man caught on body camera footage attempting to kill a California sheriffs deputy during a traffic stop this week had been deported three times before, but local officials had shielded him from ICE in recent years.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said they had lodged four separate detainer requests asking local authorities to hold Javier Hernandez-Morales for pickup after hed been booked for local charges at California jails.
Each request was refused, leaving him out on the streets on Sunday, when he tried to kill Napa County Sheriffs Deputy Riley Jarecki.
This incident may have been prevented if ICE had been notified about any of the multiple times Hernandez-Morales was released from local custody over the last few years, ICE said in a publicly released statement.

They hate American citizens.
Local officials need to start being arrested.
They are endangering the rest of US.
You know you live in a Mexican colony when your officials protect fraudulently documented foreigners from US laws and refuse to protect US citizens from fraudulently documented foreigners.
Sure seems that way
Guys like this perp were why lynching was an acceptable community activity a century ago. Why waste time with a trial and the cost of housing and feeding him? A noose, a pine box and a few minutes with a backhoe, and it’s settled.
This should be resolved with tanks. Now!
And western ranchers get killed or jailed for a lot less...or even nothing... by our heroic government agents.
The simple solution is enacting a Federal law that basically holds politicians in sanctuary cities as accomplishes in any felonies committed by aliens. The idiot politicians must learn the hard way. It’s a great way to rid ourselves of democrats.
Luckily, the Deputy wasn’t hurt and the scumsucker illegal Alien is permanently deported now.
Sooner or later all the BS that these politicians out here who are ridiculously liberal will come back and bite them
the good citizens of California it will not put up with this forever
Federal LAW??? You’re kidding. Neither the Dems nor the RINOs have the slightest interest in passing laws favorable to US citizens.
Happy Ending: The perpetrator is finally dead. Muerto!
The wounded officer put his lights out for good.
No more Revolving-Door-Deportation going on.
We need a citizen’s ICE patrol to alert ICE when someone is released.
Lets wrap this Freepathon up, Folks!
Pelosi should move him into her house as a full time maintenance and yardman.
Yep, saw the body cam video of this and the deputy handled herself well.
Because the majority there are illegals who have been emboldened by the socialist bastards who run those states!! La raza once said this years ago in the early 70’s their goal was to “return California back to Mexico because it was stolen by the gringos”!! They are almost there! Cali is unrecognizable anymore. I do have fond memories of visiting cousins there when I was a teen! Too bad the conservatives in the early 70’s didn’t fight hard enough to keep cali in the hands of the USA! My socialist city in Tx is almost there too!! It’s so strange to go shopping and hear a couple of people speaking English...the majority, including the store clerks speak Spanish! As my city goes so will the rest of Tx with the sleuth of illegal folk and those fleeing those socialist cities many bring their socialist government dependence voting habits with them..damn locusts!!
Luckily, the deputy took care of the situation like a professional.
Like you said though, she should have never been put in that situation.
I always thought police are here to protect the criminals from the people. Looks like I might be proven right.
My 74’ Gran Torino was like your dad’s Delta 88. I always tell people the front seat was like sitting on the sofa.
