Oh but you were expecting Thomas Jefferson in Venezuela at this time because they are popping up all over South America.
The general consensus on Guaido is that he’s a centrist. Hes a concilitor who is not advocating violence and has offered the military command and Maduro amnesty.
Guaido was elected interim President of Venezuela by the Venezuelan National Assembly through their legitimate constitution which allows for a new interim president to be appointed in the event that the legitimate president is absent for the inauguration. Apparently the National Assembly determined that Maduro subverted the constitution last election and was inaugurated as an illegitimate candidate.
