Property tax is based on an estimate of current value.
Tax deductions are based on actual money spent.
Getting a lower value does not affect one’s income.

To get a lower tax rate. Say the tax assessor appraised the property for $1,000,000 and $10,000 in annual taxes. A tax rate of 1%. So you petition the tax assessor that the property is only worth $800,000. You have that right. However the tax assessor has his appraiser value the property and consider the elements you brought up. Let’s say now it is appraised at $925,000 and taxes are $9,250 thus saving $750 annual. You have that right to challenge the tax assessor’s value.

From a tax pespective, does “Real Estate” even make sense? Land and buildings (much less furniture and fixtures) are quite different.

I watched the whole hearing - dope that I am...not as smart as the TX congressman’s wife who said she had better things to do than watch..and I would swear that the rules were laid out at the very beginning in Cummings statement that anything about Russia was out of bounds in questioning and bingo - it wasn’t but a couple of turns later than the questions started about Russia...the first was by a woman and now I don’t remember exactly who but it may have been Wasserman-Schwartz....
And Cohen’s proof is he believes so. Mikey wasn’t Trump’s tax account or tax attorney
