Women tend to think of themselves as victims. Our modern culture has trained them to do this. But they often have a better deal than men — they just don’t see it.
Everywhere I’ve ever worked, women were coddled and treated as special, and upper management was more than 50% women — by a long shot. And, my subjective opinion, most of the women at the top didn’t belong at the top. But they were elevated anyway.
In my experience those token women serve a vital purpose: They’ve let me enjoy a much better work-life balance than previously. Many are overpaid/”over-titled” while working the bare minimum hours, and in turn us men have been able to pack things up literally hours earlier than 10 years ago.
I’m never the first to leave each day - I strive to be the second (rather than third, fourth, etc.), and nobody can say a damned thing.
