Maybe anarcho-capitalist, which I have some sympathy for. The problem taking anarcho-capitalism to an extreme, we would disband all police forces, and everyone would hire private contractors to protect themselves. There IS a place for government, which I think even 1800s classical liberals who agree with.

I did not look at it in that particular vein. It is definitely a possible reason/belief of why Sen Rand often votes the way he does.
I agree with you; there is a place for government.
It’s a shame the folks who seek only to benefit from it and not enhance a nation are drawn to that type of job.
