After what happened to Khadaffi, think it will be much tougher to get these types to surrender weapons through diplomacy. Can’t say I blame them.

Kim wanted all the sanctions lifted, but only was willing to give up one missile and one nuke site—not all of them.
AND... The Chinese, holding the leash on Kim’s collar, want the tariffs lifted.
We need to raise the tariffs to 50%.

China is very spooked by SK/NK rapprochement.
But as long as China gets an NK port they’re way ahead.

I was saying that’s about all that’s left beyond the sanctions in place, in reply to a person that wants to increase them.

Why do I suspect that Kim is making this play after he saw that CNN was covering the Democrat-led Cohen debacle, which in my opinion was done PRECISELY to set Kim off? Keep in mind that the House is now going to schedule their Big Trump Hits ANYTIME Trump is scheduled to do something overseas so that CNN International can juxtapose the Democrats prosecuting Trump, preempting and even affecting anything Trump is trying to accomplish?
I would wager that last year, Kim saw that Trump was going to most probably be president until 2024; but now is actually believing that Trump may be taken out by 2020 or even sooner, and is actually hedging his own bets. Kim has nothing to lose at this point. Trump can only pressure China via tariffs to get Kim back on board, but I don’t see this as likely.
And will they high five when the country is leveled? At least Trump took the time to talk to Kim. Now he can blow them up with a clear conscience.
I’m fine with that.
What can they sanction that doesn't already have a sanction on it?
