If the RINOs were serious they’d be proposing Upstatehood.

But if they did that, they wouldn’t be RINOs.

You pull on the rubber band long enough and it breaks!

The Liberals of N.Y. have that rubber band pulled super tight. Something has to give in the not too distant future.

While a good idea in principle, it will not work because it retains the supremacy of the central state government. It will be like what happened to the country beginning with the passage of the 14th Amendment that opened the door for incorporation of the Bill of Rights and then picked up warp speed when the 17th Amendment removed the states from pursuing their interests. Only unlike the federal government, the central state government will from the start impose the same crap on the three autonomous regions as we have now making them anything but autonomous. There is no way the powers that be would take any chances in allowing the magnitude of freedom as envisioned by this proposal.

The only thing that makes any sense is a complete split of the state into two separate states so those of us upstate can govern ourselves.

Wouldn’t work. As soon as it was disconnected it would list to the left and sink.

Not necessarily.

You are delusional! Just look at your map. See Rockland, Westchester and Nassau? Those blue counties are far larger population wise than pink Suffolk.

This "Montaulk" will have 2 RAT Sens along with the two that will come out of "Empire". As to "New Amsterdam", with Albany, Rochester, Buffalo and other cities along the Mohawk, it's a toss-up.

Start on the other side of the Verrazano bridge :)

We on Staten Island voted Trump 57 percent.

Our district part in brooklyn flipped our R house seat D.

let all other 4 boroughs float away.
