Trump says he doesn't want immigrants on welfare entering the country

President Trump said Monday that he's opposed to allowing immigrants into the U.S. who are dependent on welfare, citing the country's already extensive financial commitments.

"I don’t want to have anyone coming in that’s on welfare,” Trump told Breitbart News in an Oval Office interview.

“We have a problem, because we have politicians that are not strong, or they have bad intentions, or they want to get votes, because they think if they come in they’re going to vote Democrat, you know, for the most part," he added.

He’s right..the reason why illegals pour into this country is NOT for a better life, but for the FREEBIES they know they will receive..legal immigrants come here for a better life make something of themselves..a business, a means of supporting themselves..illegals come here for the BENEFITS they know the dems will give them in order to vote Democrat

Illegal aliens on top of legal immigrants is sucking this country dry.

Remittances of cash from the USA is some countries top source of GDP.

My grandmother came over when she was about 13. She had to have a sponsor. In other words, she had food, shelter and clothing available to her.

I think that's how immigration is supposed to work...you are sponsored or have a job.

The Democrats want to import those who are just here for entitlememts and who don’t want to work - they can vote for more entitlements and the Democrats will have a solid voting block. And the children who grew up in a family that was focused on entitlements (not work, not accomplishments, not freedom and responsibility) will almost all have the same entitlement mentality and they will vote Democrat for more entitlements.

He’s still been suckered on how we “need workers” to build houses in Houston or wherever.

First of all if we actually enforced our laws and sent illegals home, we wouldn’t need any new houses (though those newly available would likely need some, er, sprucing up).

Second what are we about to do with all those unemployed felons we’re about to let out of prison early? Isn’t building houses about the perfect job for them?

And then not too far down the road, how about those millions of truck drivers who are supposedly about to lose their jobs? Aren’t they pretty good candidates for building houses as well?

Finally, what about tech, such as 3D printing? Shouldn’t we invest some capital to upgrade the value of each worker’s productivity and thus earned pay?

Okay, bonus? Lookie here—the average construction worker wage in Houston is all of $13.65/hr. I think it is time those hard-working fellas got a raise!

I don’t want them here for ANY reason.

They are over running our schools, hospitals, highways, public housing, homeless shelters, etc. Not to mention bringing in diseases, drugs, gangs, terrorists, and a whole host of other problems we don’t need.

Simply let it be known that people on welfare now will have their benefits cut in half to help out the poor (illegal) immigrants and watch the tide turn.

Here’s my source on that average wage, btw:

Give that worker a wife and a couple of kids and taxpayers are forking over massive subsidies for their healthcare, food, housing, telecom, energy, etc.—plus an “earned income tax credit” pure cash giveaway.

Even thought it is fun to virtue signal, the fact is legal immigration has been abused and is now used to suppress wages of Americans SO IT ALL NEEDS TO STOP!

Liberals love to point out the immigration that took place from Europe at the beginning of the 20th Century. They fail to mention that when you look at the records from back then, they demonstrate the people coming in had some money, a skill and a destination. They didn’t just show up with the help of coyotes, liberal lawyers and a demand for welfare and housing.

Yep...if you cannot demonstrate you have a skill or trade; a job; a sponsor then you should not get in. It’s so common sense that you wonder how anybody can argue otherwise.

How about curtailing all immigration for about 50 years?

Used to be that way.

Now a majority of legal immigrants and refugees are on welfare.

sickened by the politicians, political groups, anti usa groups, religious orgs and businesses all putting out the welcome signs and mats, helping illegals sign up for all sorts of tax payer paid helps.
