“I am a Trump supporter. I agree with Paul. That emergency declaration is a bogus law that gives the president too much power. I agree that Congress and only congress controls the purse strings. We do have an emergency. Trump can order the Military to secure the border.”

Well then we can just wait around until congress votes for the money to pay for that military to “secure the border”.

Or did you forget how that stuff gets paid for?

Hell we have troops fighting conflicts in which NO DECLARATION OF WAR WAS MADE.

But our border? Gotta wait for congress to pass a money bill or else, right?

Congress just passed enough money for border wall to last a year or two. Just keep building wall and veto every bill until more money is approved. The president does not need congress approval to instruct Military. We cannot declare war...Who is the enemy when you are going after terrorist?

Makes you sick to your stomach, doesn't it?

I saw an article on the forum last night about the military wanting a new type of aircraft. I'm normally interested in such things, but I just sat there staring at the headline and wondering,

"Why? To send our boys and girls off to some God-forsaken sh!tholes, to die defending the territories of ungrateful, barbarous hordes who hate us anyway?"

Meanwhile, our own country is being invaded and colonized at a record pace. What is the point of having a military if they're not allowed to defend their own damn country???
