.... KRLA had dubbed itself LA's "official Beatles station."

They did, did they? LOL! I think a lot of stations kinda went that route back then because The Beatles were IT.

Our little local radio station played a lot of their music as well as other British bands, and at night we could pick up WLS out of Chicago.

When Peter & Gordon hit the music scene, I figured Jane (Peter's sister) used her influence to get Paul to help them out. I don't know how long they were popular in England but they didn't last all that long over here. A shame because they did had beautiful voices.

WLs is a flame thrower station, I have heard them in TX but they don’t do rock anymore
