So is Huawei a security threat?
Is Facebook? Is Google?
Neither Facebook or Google deal with military, financial, banking, and economic communications. Huawei would handle all of that, and it would not be voluntary. Is allowing someone in China access to your bank account and SocSec number a security threat?
My answer would have been “yes” to all three.
