President Trump on Tuesday brushed off increasing calls from Democratic presidential candidates to pack the Supreme Court with more judges, accusing them of trying to catch up after losing at the ballot box.
We would have no interest in that whatsoever, it will never happen, he said at a press conference alongside Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. It wont happen, I guarantee, it wont happen for six years.

And wouldn’t it be cool at the end of the 6 years, to add several more CONSERVATIVE justices and pack the court our way?
The Dems expanded the court before and it was a factor in causing the civil war...
The Taney Court created by Jackson who yielded the Dred Scott decision.
So there’s no law about this??
There can be 3, 10, 50, 100??
I don’t know that’s why i’m asking.
I NEVER heard of this in 50 years
Didn’t FDR threaten to pack the SCOTUS?
Back in the Jackson era, Congress increased the court’s size to 9. Van Buren appointed the 9th one. There is nothing in the Constitution that sets a number. 9 has become tradition.

Yep. And both parties at the time told him he was nuts and won’t happen.
Today, one of the parties is so hungry for power they’ll do it.
Today’s Democratic party is far more dangerous to America than the communists ever were.
Yeah..
Trump could have said:
“What a fantastic idea, the impact could be HUGE!”
“Of the current list of 25 conservative judges that I have, I hereby nominate 4 more to the Supreme court, for a total of 13 judges. Oh, no wait a minute.. that’s a bad number, let me nominate 6 more for a total of 15 judges in the Supreme Court.”
“The nice thing about this is that I can nominate them right away, to start working right away, instead of waiting for a vacancy at the Supreme Court.”
“The nation will benefit from strong 11-4 decisions rather than weak 5-4 decisions, bringing consistency and certainty to the legislative process”
“We are all ready to go because, actually, it was MY idea, I just didn’t tell anyone other than those making the preparations, but I had it first. The signing ceremony will be tomorrow”
Great
And what kind of vote and in which chamber does this need to pass?
the usual? 2/3 needed for a veto over-ride?
Important to remember...Democrat will stop at nothing..and are capable of anything.
Yes he did. The threat effectively cowed the court to his way of thinking.
Unless the GOP gets their act together , 2022 and then 2024 are in doubt.
I guess its like any legislation.
Yes indeed! In fact the demoncrats are now the radical wing of the communist party... They will probably only be stopped by a massive blood-letting...
That’s what i figure.
So we need to win in 2020. Or the country’s gone.
I think that there should be a constitutional amendment to set the court size to the number of states in the union.
A larger court would be more diluted and varying its size proportional to the number of states or population would be in keeping with a representative republic.
Democrats know how critically important the Supreme Court is to their agenda. That is the institution they feel they can use to jam their progressive agenda down the throats of the population regardless what the democracy wants.
Remember even California voted against gay marriage. The progressives then had to go to the courts to ram it through against the wishes of the voters. These people are in no way democratic. Democracy is viewed as a barrier to their agenda.
Democraps have ceased being a political party that solves societal problems.
Its helpful to ponder this and act accordingly: Democraps are a power-mad savage invading army waging war on us.....a peaceful people.
They will not rest until they have total control of the citizenry.
Eventually, there could thousands of people on the Supreme Court!
“Todays Democratic party is far more dangerous to America than the communists ever were.”
The Democrats back then pretty much rubber stamped FDR’s new deal so I’m not so sure about that.
