Missouri Senate Bans All Federal Gun Control Laws in Proposed Bill
The Sentinel ^ | March 19, 2019 | Max Headroom

Missouri may have just made the most monumental step towards freedom and individual liberty since the signing of the Bill of Rights. In an upcoming vote by Missouri’s state senate, the state is expected to pass a bill that would nullify ALL Federal gun laws and regulations, and make enforcement of those laws by federal officers within the State of Missouri a criminal offense. Republicans control both U.S. Senate seats and more than two-thirds of the seats in both the Missouri House and Senate.

Like it’s predecessor, SB613, Bill SB367 and it’s companion, House Bill HB786, would prevent all state agencies and their employees from enforcing any federal law that infringes the Second Amendment in any way, including gun registrations, fees, fines, licenses and bans. Originally authored in 2014, a former version of the bill was also passed, but vetoed by then Missouri Governor Jay Nixon.

A stipulation of the newly passed bill states:

“All federal acts, laws, executive orders, administrative orders, court orders, rules, and regulations, whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States I and Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, shall be specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state.”

For added measure, SB367’s authors went into great detail on what federal laws will be “considered null and void and of no effect.”

(a) Any tax, levy, fee, or stamp imposed on firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition not common to all other goods and services which might reasonably be expected to create a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by law-abiding...

Yes but this law will have the Constitution supporting it. “Shall not be infringed” is clearly written in the Second Amendment AND ALL powers not specifically designated to the Federal government by the Constitution reside with the States.

I'm not suggesting it's acceptable for us to lose. Rather that we should be playing the same game they are.
We understand that if the left didn't have a double standard they'd have no standard at all. Trouble is our side wants to play by Gentlemen's rules; that only works when you're playing against gentlemen, not street thugs.

Bring out the legal billy clubs. Sue the ***************s!

Gun control was not delegated to the Feds in the Constitution so therefore is remanded to the states.

The question will be whether gun laws should be a matter for local government.

Gun laws certainly are not the same as immigration laws, which definitely are the responsibility of the federal government.

Ruby Ridge Bill Barr would not stand for it. Allowing a coup to proceed with some curtailment is one thing, but this...!

Yep!

I’m there. It’s time.

It’s past time.

In fact, better than ignore all federal judges, ban them, ban their rulings.

I’m sorry. People fleeing leftist places to free states has become a thing. And it’s a thing that over and over the refugees (who probably think they are doing the right thing) vote for - guess what - leftist “liberal” policies in their new homes. They just can’t help it.

Californian refugees are now blamed for ruining the northwest, Colorado, and (soon) Texas.

People fleeing NY and NJ are screwing up Florida.

You would think FL and TX are solid conservative places wouldn’t you? But recent votes have been very, very close, and the future is not looking good.

So, what I am serious about is that when you get here, you will almost certainly vote “liberal” - compared to our ethics here.

So, please don’t. I am completely serious about assimilating into the culture before you vote on anything. Get to know and LIKE some real Missouri hillbillies. Acquaint yourself with obnoxious “liberals” in, say University City. Spend some time in North St. Louis (be careful).

I mean it: learn the ropes, THEN vote.

And if somehow this doesn’t apply to you, it applies to a lot of other Kalifornicans.

Thanks. Best wishes.

Took me a while to get your point and, of course, you’re right.
Only problem we have is finding Democrats who actually give a flying fig about the Constitution.

We don’t have to worry about finding Democrats because the final say rests with the Supreme Court , now 5 on our side...at least most of the time. The next appointment by Trump will seal the deal.

If California can enforce their anti-government crap, why can’t Missouri?

Here’s a more accurate article. It is actually news, though the Sentinel mixed it up with some old news.

Old-ager said, "you will almost certainly vote “liberal” - compared to our ethics here."

I had to laugh. That cracked me up.
If Jim Robinson who lives in California wanted to move to Missouri would you tell him the same thing?

Exactly right. Also remember Missouri has lots of tall trees and short ropes.

We don’t need lefists moving here.
