One of the biggest problems in America is that we closed our Insane Asylums in the 1980’s.
I’m pretty sure the CLinton E-mails servers had been destroyed by the time the russians sent e-mails to the addresses that were being hosted on it. I don’t know if Clinton and her cronies had kept their e-mails and moved them to another server, or if those phishing attempts went into a bit bucket (probably).
I also don’t think of spearphishing as ‘hacking’, since you have to be stupid to let it seize your e-mail, as opposed to the real hacking which got e-mails off the server itself under the covers.
Chait also is lying about what the summary report quoted from the mueller report it doesnt’ say “no CRIME was found, it says “no collusion”. Collusion wasn’t a crime, so it couldn’t likely be indicted, but it is a “thing” and the report says there was no credible evidence of actual collusion.
He didn’t say they should HACK them, he said they should FIND them. And Chait, in the one thing he gets right, admits that Trump said the PRESS would be happy to have them, not that HE would be — and he was clearly being sarcastic, because the press showed absolutely NO interest in Clinton deleting 30,000 e-mails, which she CLAIMED were private, personal e-mails but we now know were government e-mails, and some were classified.
Hillary’s emails were hacked by every country and intelligence service long before TRUMP even announced his run for the Presidency.
They were hacked because every intelligence agency in the world knew she would get elected after Obastard left office.
They wanted all the bribes, payoffs, crooked deals, traitorous acts, and murders documented so they could control her after the election.
They were WRONG, she LOST!
excellent insight which demolishes his whole article even if the rest of his facts were accurate.
Yes, that is some twisted logic in that story. First he concedes that collusion is no crime, which should really be the end of the story - 2+ years ago.
But more to the point, the questions of Hillary’s handling of emails, the hacking of the DNC server, the home-brew “wiped” server etc was all information in the public domain. It is not collusion to reference information in the public domain. And as you said, there is no way to know who, when or how many times people tried to hack these servers. They were never given full and complete investigation.
Trump was using sarcasm to make a point about her actions. They then turned that against him into some nonsense about collusion.
Yes. Skolkovo. An elaborate industrial espionage scheme by Russia. They got Hillary as SoS to invite scores of US companies to open up shop in that tech park. Even the FBI called it a ploy for espionage. Hillary was either corruptly in on the scheme, or too stupid to be duped by it. Either way, unfit for office.
Liberal spin-meisters go crazy.
The only “obstruction of justice” that I am aware of is that LIBs are allowed to vote.
In every situation, Trump facilitated real justice.
I remember What he said: if Russia has the emails that Hillay deleted they should release them. A far cry from asking them to back them.
Jonathan Chait: It’s over.
Gad, these people are stupid. They won’t even get out of the gate if they try to disarm us.
And no, he didn’t collude with the Russians. He was asking the question every American should be asking. Where were the 33,000 e-mails she deleted that were literally under subpoena. He then said if you have them, turn them over.
Mueller is NOT a good guy. All the bad intentions and attempts to destroy failed.
As for the last part, no. Manafort did NOT give intricate polling data to the Russians. He gave it to a Ukranian who had ties to Russians. BIG FREAKING DIFFERENCE.
Chait should be fired for malpractice.
