Something occured to me when I was watching the sequel to “Sicario”. Before the first scene starts, the text that appears says “The Mexican cartels control the border.” That probably explains why there isn’t more action being taken by our elected officials to close it. They are somehow benefiting financially from the cartel’s steady supply of cash. At least, that’s what I’m thinking.
