CICERO, ILL. — A Chicago-area woman is accused of keeping dozens of immigrants from Guatemala in her basement in deplorable conditions and forcing them to work.
Concepcion Malinek, 49, was arrested Tuesday after federal authorities raided her 1,900-square-foot home and found 19 adults and 14 children inside, The Chicago Sun-Times reported. She is charged with forced labor.
In a Thursday court hearing, prosecutors said Malinek helped the immigrants come to the United States from Guatemala. Then, she told them they owed her thousands of dollars for her assistance, got them jobs at a Romeoville, Illinois, factory and made them turn over most of their wages to her, prosecutors said.
One 15-year-old girl was allegedly given an ID saying she was 27 and made to work at the factory.

Fine the factory $20k per each illegal to make up for the taxes they would have paid to hire American citizens, plus the cost of all social welfare received.

Not insisting on e-verify or fining employers of illegals is just further evidence that there are two parties in the USA. They are not the Dem and Repubs, but the government and the people. As more and more of our economy is government dependent, whether by contracts, employment, hand-outs or regulations, it becomes more and more difficult to get anything done that benefits non-government dependent tax-paying Americans. The in-crowd doesn’t care what ordinary Americans want, as long as they keep their positions of power, influence and money.
Now, if the Dems are calling on reparations for slavery, now will she be getting any of the money that will be stolen from hard working Americans or will she be one who will pay out?
Either the factory owner was blind and dumb or he was paying the ‘27 year old’ under the table at less than half of minium wage or he didn’t give a F about hiring Americans, so he should be arrested for child labor violation and tax evasion...
Source article says she is a dual citizen. I suspect that the claim to US citizenship is likely flimsy or fraudulent.

Illegal immigration enables corrupt employers.
Employers can pay illegals less than minimum wage, and even refuse to pay them at all for work already performed.
The illegals have no recourse for complaint.
Those who come here legally are protected from this type of exploitation.
Plus, the poorest American citizens are most hurt by the competition for the lowest-paying jobs and wage stagnation.
You’d think the lefties would be arguing this.
But they demand $15 per hour while sabotaging their own demands by bringing in illegals.
