But just as slavery was not new during the pre-Civil War period, there’s absolutely nothing new about white racism as a force in American politics. Jenée Desmond-Harris wrote in 2016 that Trump was “refreshing” not just “to people who share his views” but “to people who have always known that views like this exist.”
Trump has made white racial resentment more visible than it was before, but at the same time, white liberals have become much more attuned to racism — seeing more of it not necessarily because the world has changed but because their own attitudes toward longstanding features of it have changed.

When the foundation for their ideology is flat out wrong (conservatives are inherently racist) then every plank of their “truth” is similarity flawed.
Lefties - especially black lefties, have assumed as a article of faith that Donald Trump is a racist. Therefore everything he does is racially motivated. Only he isn’t, and his actions bear that out.

It is precisely this level delusion, which I think is now terminal but also very widespread, that convinces me that the answers to America’s governing crisis must come from the bullet box not the ballot box.

Victimhood is desirable. So desirable it has to be made up, created, and falsified if necessary. Victimhood by any means necessary.

False claims are common by revolutionaries. Phase One are the false claims that someone is oppressing someone. The purpose is to make a victim of the oppressed. Phase Two is to create an oppressor, a bogeyman, a scapegoat. Phase Three is to turn it upside down through revolution.
In the Soviet revolution, the oppressor was not the Czar, it was not the elite or the rich, it was the bourgeoisie, literally translated as the upper middle class. Once they were destroyed the revolutionaries went after the kulaks, who were lower middle class.
In Nazi Germany the enemy were upper middle class Jews.
The same thing is happening today with these neo-Marxists. They are specifically targeting the upper middle class, after which they will target the middle class, after which they will target the lower middle class.
To make it worse, they use concepts like "privilege", which allows them to assign means to people without economic means. Just like the poor Jew was just as much an enemy of the state for the Third Reich as the wealthy Jew.
An entire industry has been born to propagate these false claims that everything is getting worse.
As a result, an entire other industry (Gapminder Foundation, Steven Pinker, Heterodox Academy, and the "Intellectual Dark Web") has come about to refute these false claims. These apolitical, intellectuals will be attacked by the left. Some will either be silences of flip under the pressure.
