The former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Thomas Homan, told Fox News on Sunday that President Trump made the right move replacing Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen with U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Kevin McAleenan.
Homan, a Fox News contributor, called McAleenan one of the smartest men with whom he has worked.
He knows border issues, and he can hit the ground running, Homan told Jon Scott on Fox Report. He knows the border... he will start day one.

He will think outside the box, Homan said. Kevin will put his foot on the gas.
I heard he is a pro-immigration never Trumper...not sure who to believe.
Believe Homan!
He is the real deal!

Hopefully, MacAleenan is only a temporary fix as the President readies to nominate Allen West or Sheriff Clarke.
I know nothing about the new guy, but I have a load of respect for Tom Homan, so I’ll go with his recommendation.
Donald Trump not only retained both of them, he promoted both of them!
People need to understand the role of that bad immigration legislation that Trump signed in the last spending bill — an amnesty, as Powell rightly calls it — in order to understand what is going on and how much of this has to do with Trump’s caving and/or not having understood what he was signing, despite the warnings and how obvious it was:

I heard Trump is betraying us - I ignore those voices.....

I have no idea who Trump huddles with on immigration issues, but I know he should be getting advice from NumbersUSA, FAIR, and CIS. Things are not going well now.
I heard that Steven Millers influence was gaining at the WH and that Trump was putting more border security hardliners in place. But who knows in the end what these people turn out to be?
At the time of this bill it was widely reported that Pence and Kushner were the team negotiating with Congress on it.
“At the time of this bill it was widely reported that Pence and Kushner were the team negotiating with Congress on it.”
I don’t trust Pence on immigration issues, and certainly not Kushner.
And correctly so.
Just do what Kris Kobach suggested.

No, not voices, there were about 4 threads active on this on Freep; it was another Freeper who said that person was weak.
So far I’ve heard the contrary. So why did PDJT pick Nielson instead of him in the first place???
I have no idea what motivates the President’s personnel choices. Aside from judges, I’m not favorably impressed with them.
Thanks for the link, Sidney Powell does have a good action plan.
