If I vote Republican, will it fix the problem?

That reminds me, noting that one of the very few constitutional powers that the states have expressly constitutionally delegated to the feds to decide domestic policy is to run the US Mail Service (1.8.7), most federal domestic policy based on stolen state powers, please consider the following.

When the states wake up and repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments, they need a provision in the repeal amendment that prohibits political party support of federal representatives.

After all, how many political parties does it take to run the mail service?

I say none. No political parties needed.

The states will remain free to shoot both feet off with political parties.

To answer your question, patriots need to primary as many career Republicans as we can in 2020 elections, and hope that freshman Republicans not only support PDJT, but also read FRee Republic.

Not based on the results under the last 3 GOP Speakers - Hastert, Boehner, and Ryan. No failed programs cancelled, no attempt at zero based budgeting, no prioritization of spending, no end to baseline budgeting with built in inflation. The tax code continued to become even more complicated with special provisions for favored industries, companies, and even individuals. Plus with the House and Senate under GOP leadership we continued to begin the new budget year with last minute omnibus spending bills and the drama of government shutdown. Neither GOP or Democrat lawmakers have any desire to be fiscally responsible.
