If you’ve tried to keep up with the charges against him, it’s clear he’s one of the world’s slipperiest shysters. Indeed, it’s just about impossible to know where all of his assets are and where they’re hidden. With the massive set of charges in two different jurisdictions, assets probably hidden all over the U.S. and in various foreign countries, and his own private jet, he was a huge flight risk just waiting to happen.

I’m truly surprised that the Government has not imposed a $10,000,000 bond on him, as it did with Paul Manafort, Avenatti being a light years worse flight risk than Manafort ever was. Another great advantage of such a high bond is it would force Avenatti to disclose his assets in a way no direct court order ever could because he’d have to disclose them or await trail in jail.
