I’ll just say it simply.
Supporting Israel is fine and good. But I sorely wish Trump did not set foot in the Israel-Palestinian “peace process”. It is always quicksand for U.S. presidents.

I agree. You’re correct that it’s not a good idea.
For more than political reasons but yes it’s political quicksand.
