told ya! Romney and Reid. A pair of BAD Mormons. I was born and raised until a teenager in the LDS faith, and I’ve known a LOT of good Mormons, and a few really BAD ones. Bad mormons don’t live by their faith, but they are first and loudest when it comes to bragging/showing off how righteous they are.

-”Had Romney been elected”-
You are right about that but there are those here on our wonderful forum who say that if we lose the battle at the primary level, then we must support the Rino to keep the seat going to the Dimwit Rats.

I ain’t agonna do it!

Perhaps we dodged a bullet both times when first McCain, then Romney, surrendered preemptively to the Magic Mulatto, but it was only to fall upon a hand grenade.

Either way, the mire in The Swamp would still have been just as deep in 2016.

Well stated by Gov. Huckabee. And to think I was depressed after Mittens lost in 2012. Now we know there was no difference between him and Obama. ESAD, Mittens!

The Mormon citizens and voters of the state of Utah have slit their own political throats by electing low life, useless, sewer dreg, Mitt Romney to be their Senator. if they had an ounce of common sense and pragmatic brains, they would remove this traitor, turncoat, Mitt Romney from office...today!!! God bless POTUS, Donald J. Trump!!!

Huckabe comes up with some really good lines from time to time. This is another one of them.

Many Freepers repeatedly warned that Establishment Republicans/RINOs are every bit as vile as the Democrats. I for one was not smart enough to believe it. I do now.

There are two political parties in America: The Party of Hate, Evil, and Decadence and the Party of Benevolence, Ascendance, and Truth, aka the MAGA Party.

Romney probably holds a weekly seance with McCain directly from Hell to get his marching orders.

They went for Trump in 2016, their terrible choice in Romney notwithstanding.

I am hoping Romney’s statement is the equivalent of the “Dean Scream”.

Romney’s crack referencing Ukraine made me sick.
He was talking about Manafort— who had been working for Clinton & the Podestas at the time.
But he conveniently left that out.

>> FR knew about Romney from the earliest days. Very few FR posters ever said anything good about him <<

Huh? FReepers supported Mitt Romney en masse on this board after Fred Thompson dropped out. Probably 80-90% of this board supported him in the primary. I remained one of the FEW still backing Huckabee at the time and took a ton of crap and insults for that on here. After Romney dropped out, tons of FReepers even gushed over the possibility of a "McCain-Romney Dream ticket". I will be happy to ping you to the threads around at time swooning over him.

What alternate universe were you living in?

In 2012 he definitely had very little support in the primaries here on FR. I myself was a Gingrich supporter and there were many others. I remember a lot of support for Cain, some for Perry (until he imploded) and some for Bachmann and Santorum. Romney got some too, of course, but he was also heavily criticized. At least on the threads I was on. Once Romney won the nomination we all had to support him over the Kenyan, of course.

Evidence that Mittens would have gladly sold us out to his globalist buddies.

Better that the debacle 0bama was re-elected.

At least he never pretended to be a friend of Christians or Conservatives.

There were some conservatives saying that in 2012. Not saying they would vote Kenyan, but that Kenyan might be better in the long run for America than Romney.

They were 100% correct.

I had taken a hike from FR but came back in 2007 to see who everyone was supporting for President. I had a notion that maybe Romney was ok.

Everyone was for Fred. I was dismayed cause Fred had no chance. I ended up voting for Romney in that primary (Fred was dead by the time it got to our state, it was just McRombee) despite what DJ was saying. In highsight Huckabee was obviously the best remaining choice but I saw him as a goober of questionable economic conservatism, I still have problems with him, like his shameful shilling for fake cancer treatment and a diabetes “cure” (which hadn’t happened yet). But at least he’s loyal to the party, unlike McCain and Romney. I don’t really recall but I guess there was plenty of support or “support” for Romney after Fred and Hunter were out. Now that you mention it I have a vague recollection of some people wanting Romney for VP after McCain iced it.

Poor options that year.
