Impeach Donald Trump? (Barf Alert)

The Mueller report has been released, with redactions of course, and it is a damning document. Not only does it detail Russian efforts to attack our election to help the Trump campaign and the Trump campaign’s eager acceptance of that help, it paints a picture of Donald Trump as an unethical man with no regard for the rule of law.

Then there is the idea that an impeachment would be contentious and increase public support for Trump the way it did for Bill Clinton.

But I find the conflation of Clinton and Trump ill-reasoned on the issue of the public’s response in polling.

First, Clinton’s approval was subject to change in a way Trump’s is not. Clinton experienced a 40-point swing in his approval over his presidency, according to Gallup. Trump’s seems almost impervious to change, no matter the news.

THE IMPEACHMENT OF BILL CLINTON

David Schippers was asked by his friend, Congressman Henry Hyde, to be Chief Investigative Counsel
for the US House Judiciary Committee. Schippers, a lifelong Democrat, accepted and took the job in April 1998.

The Hyde Committee was holding an inquiry on whether Clinton had committed impeachable offences in his handling
of the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit..... during which Clinton committed perjury regarding his affair with
Monica Lewinsky. The committee in December 1998 voted to impeach Clinton........a decision supported by Schippers.

On December 10, 1998, Schippers said to the committee:
"The President, then,

Upon the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives
on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228–206 vote) and obstruction of justice (by a 221–212 vote).

The Senate voted not to remove the impeached president.

Only recently, Monica Lewinsky came clean and made clear that a sitting President, Bill Clinton, suborned perjury from her.
An impeachable offense, for which the penalty is loss of his law license.

All of Clinton's crimes happened while he was a sitting president:
the 47 Oral Office visits from Monica; subornation of perjury, lying under oath, hush money, etc etc etc.

Clinton lied under oath about suborning Monica.
MORE EGREGIOUSLY.....Clinton even went so far as to have Lewinsky give Linda Tripp written instructions,
coaching Linda on how to properly perjure herself in the Willey matter. (Linda didnt buy it.)

after she signed ......but before she filed...... a falsified affidavit saying she had NOT had sex with the president.

As insurance, Clinton had another pal, his Ambassador to the United Nations, Bill Richardson,
personally visit Lewinsky at the Watergate to offer her a government job to shut her up.

Hillary's political ambitions and the preparations to get wealthy using the Clinton Foundation and the US govt apparat.

They were quite the pair back then------Hillary looked like she "standing by her man"but the truth was
something else. Her own ambitions were going down the drain---she was not about to let that happen.

One Clinton lies.....

"I never had sexual relations with that woman...Miss Lewinsky."

And the other Clinton swears to it.

Standing by her man (sniffle). Hillary KNEW his sexual abuse was true---
the Clintons took a secret a poll and were advised to lie as long as they could.
