There are more than a few scientists who now claim that there's a "Climate Change" religious orthodoxy which will destroy the careers of anyone who dares challenge the big government line that it's humans who cause "Climate Change," even though NYC is supposed to be underwater at this time. All they want is total control over the lives and activities of the population.
"Social Justice Warriors" have invaded even the hard sciences at many Universities and are twisting science into their own, twisted world outlook, much as did the "scientists" in Germany in the late 1930s and early 1940s. When The State drives scientific research with the funds to perform the research, the results will often be what The State not only expects, but demands.

The 60's chart compared today has very little changes. If you look at early 90's maps it does show a slight up tick of more heat.
Science data can be altered but these hardiness charts are needed to be accurate.
