Netflix originals:
Highway Men
Triple Frontier
Medal of Honor
Ozark
Stranger Things
Bodyguard
Narcos: Mexico
Bad Bloods
Godless
Safe
Altered Carbon
NETFLIX really impressed me with the stories, plots, writing and acting in almost all of their originals and I have stated here in FR a cou8ple of times that NETFLIX IS Hollywood now.
Less expensive actors and STILL glamorous settings and filmography.
I cancelled DISNEY in every aspect YEARS ago when we were home schooling our kids (Now all grown with kids of their own), and I haven't changed my mind about Disney programming .... they're still very left and agenda driven and evil in that they target kids with playful animation.
That 7 buck intro to Disney will inflate in less than three years .... three years of teaching your kids they probably ARE trans.
Right now I’m watching “Roman Empire” (Netflix original show) but some recent documentaries I saw there was Churchill’s Secret Agents, Fyre (about the music festival gone wrong) and World War II in Color.
If I could only keep one, it would be Amazon Prime. Mostly for the shopping, but the original series Bosch is a favorite of both mine and the Wife. (Hollywood Division Detective series)

Let me recommend also Narcos, and Narcos Mexico, these are the stories of the Drug Cartels and they pretty much blew my mind. I can now see why the drug war will never be won no matter what.
I pay 8.99, what do you get for the higher price?
Kay, I’ll give those a try.
Thanks.
I reallllly liked Narcos..!
No streaming here as I’m on a metered broadband connection. But I do use Netflix’s DVD rental service. Unlimited movies a month, 2 at a time via DVD.
Netflix has given me good service and they have the latest movies after the movie is released to DVD. $12/month.
The guy playing Escobar nailed him, I was so into it I didn’t even mind the subtitles. Watch the one on El Chapo, it’s in english and pretty good.
I’m ashamed of myself for the reason I would not use Netflix.
Mr. Obummer is not on the board of Disney.
It is terribly small of me, but I suffered through eight years and I am all out of reasonableness.
During those eight years I never broke windows, burned cars, insulted anyone’s hat or tried to overthrow a president, but I won’t forget or forgive those horrible years.
I didn't know there were gradients.
And really don't care.
I get WIFI with my COMCAST internet/LL modem so my smart TV's serve us in the LR or the BR ... American living.
I am not a big TV watcher - maybe 10 hours a week, mostly on weekends. It sometimes takes me weeks to get through a single season of a particular show.
That's another benefit of cutting cable. You tend not to have the TV on very much. On weeknights, I prefer to listen to music while reading a good book or web surfing with a glass of wine.
I also find myself watching Netflix more on my laptop these days. I recently got a new MacBook Air with Retina Display that I use only for web surfing and streaming video. The video quality is superb so that's more or less my go-to device for streaming video these days. If the wife wants to watch with me, then we go to the TV and stream it there through the Roku.
A family member shares her netflix account with me. I don’t watch very often, but I just got hungup in a series called Designated survivor.
Movies are entertainment, fantasy. They may ne based on real events, but if you want reality, watch a documentry.
Netflix carries alot of garbage, but I’m enjoying this series.
There was another one I loved..Palm Trees in the snow or something to that effect.
I have enjoyed some disney movies, but they have to insert mating and sexuality in most of their movies. I still have a video tape of lion king that has the leaves blowing away spelling out the word sex.
Even their kids cartoons are full of sexual inuendo.
Little kids don’t need to have adult themes pushed on them. They aren’t mentally and emotionally equipped to deal with that.
Are you still getting DVD’s by mail? That would explain your pricing. I only subscribe to the streaming.
Just put it on my watchlist. Thanks.
Probably because Netflix is a personalized experience based on your profile. The suggested content on my home screen is based on what I've already chosen to watch. I know this to be true because when my wife goes through her icon, there is entirely different content that is recommended, based on her viewing habits.
So while Netflix decision to do a puff-piece show based on the Obamas is vile to me, I can always choose not to watch and keep it off my home screen. Cancelling the subscription of a service I generally like and benefit from seems a step too far for me - sort of like cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Besides, I want to differentiate myself from the Trump haters on the Left - who are determined to despise everything Trump does, even when he is doing good for the country. These haters would actually rather see the country fail than to see Trump have success. I think that's rather sad.
Designated survivor.
