It's traditional film noir Los Angeles in gorgeous color and great location shoots, all backed by excellent jazz on Det. Bosch's top end turntable as he sips whisky overlooking the greatest hillside view ever. Have been a fan of Titus Welliver since his part in Deadwood.

I love documentaries but also can get into a well-written TV series. We are in a "golden age" of TV content thanks to the ability to stream ("binge watch"). Used to be that most TV series had to have episodes that were self-contained as it was very difficult to keep track of complicated story arcs and large cast of characters if you had to wait a week between episodes.

Now you can watch the episodes one after the other on demand so that has freed up content producers to get way more creative and introduce more complexity. Plus, the shows are produced to almost cinematic standards so the video quality of these shows is often stunning. I find that some of the best original content is on these streaming channels like Netflix and Amazon Prime. Like someone said earlier, it's the new Hollywood.

At the same time they are losing their Disney content they also are raising their subscription fees. I expect a lot of folks to cancel.

Why would you be ashamed? There was no reason to put Susan Rice on their board other than to give her a payday for her efforts to destroy this country. Same for the Obamas. Then, some kid makes a mild tweet questioning them on giving Brie Larson a movie to direct, and they brigade the poor bastard right off of Twitter. Netflix themselves did this! You have nothing to be ashamed off. Yes, we all do business with people who hate us and our values, but drawing the line at a place that dreams of being the continuation of the Obama administration makes perfect sense.

I've never gotten DVD's ... I subscribe to streaming NETFLIX because it was advertized when we got our wifi modem ..... seemed like a fair idea.

Have binged on MANY NETFLIX originals and others ... LONGMIRE was our first addiction.

Don’t forget Disney just acquired The Fox entertainment division with a huge library to add to their already immense library.

Both are pushing a lot of PC and LBGTQ crap. Netflix for years pushed Queer movies in my suggestions, and then they got into their self production and pushed soft porn to teenage girls (Sabrina Teen Witch remake) lesbianism for kids (She-Ra remake) and a totally unnecessary gay wedding in a show my kids loved (Voltron).

Disney’s influence is insidious because they use the name’s reputation for kids movies earned 40+years ago to push PC and feminist ideology.

Thank you, Rastus.

I didn’t know that Netflix appears to practice the same kind of hatred and revenge against people as the former resident of the WH. I would like to look into the Larson incident you mentioned.

See how hateful those people can be. That’s why I want nothing to do with them. Disney may be lefties, but they are not hateful...so far.

The short version is some guy said something mild like, “LMAO, why is Brie Larson qualified to direct a movie, @Netflix?” Instead or ignoring the comment, they quote tweeted it giving a list of her awards, nominations, and credits. She followed up with the comment “NetFLEX.” And this all served to unleash both Netflix and Larson’s followers on the guy who ended up having to lock down his account so as to be left alone.

Well, I’m going to throw a tantrum and never use it.

I feel the necessity to make a statement. NO support for Obummer, anyway, anytime, anyplace.

Thanks for letting me know, I thought that Netflix pictured was just an ad.

Have a great day, Does so
