I was thinking along those lines as well;the only thing that I can think of is that it’s the Dems torpedoing Biden and not Trumpers, and the Dems want to take him out before he can gain momentum ... this certainly gives the other Dems powerful ammo to attack Jo Bidn ...

None of this needs to come out now. The Dem’s need to build up their war chests and run ads all over the place. January 2020, start dropping bombs, all over the place. Of course, many of the early candidates will have been taken out by then from lack of money, support(Beto only had a couple of dozen the other day) and their own infighting, that those remaining will be the big names, ie Biden. Be great to see him in a debate with the President as he tries to explain this and stutters and stammers over a hard question.
