Graham blasts Democratic colleague Hirono: You have ‘slandered’ Barr
The Washington Times ^ | May 1, 2019 | Jeff Mordock

In the most fiery exchange so far during Attorney General William P. Barr’s Senate Judiciary testimony, Sen. Lindsey Graham interrupted questioning to accuse Sen. Mazie Hirono of “slandering” the Justice Department’s top official.

“You have slandered this man from top to to bottom,” Mr. Graham said. “You want more of this line of questioning, you are not going to get it.

The moment came while Ms. Hirono, Hawaii Democrat, was grilling Mr. Barr with questions about allegations that President Trump sought to thwart special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.

But she also called Mr. Barr a liar and accused him of trying to conceal Mr. Trump’s alleged misdeeds.

“Being attorney general of the Untied States is a sacred trust,” she said. “You have betrayed that trust. America deserves better. You should resign.”

Who did Trump have at this most sensitive position upon entering office? Jeff Sessions. It nearly killed his Presidency.

Don't think it was an accident. The Deep State (GOP wing) pushed Sessions as AG and he recuses himself three days into office? That doesn't happen without premeditation.

NONE of the Republican Senators treated Lynch or Holder this way, and both of them were REAL thoroughly corrupt, rotten-to-the-core AGs. This double standard of treatment really sickens me.

But Lynch and Holder had the magic POC Shield.

There are a number of Congress critters who are not fit for office.

Nothing new there. The state of Virginia was represented for years in the Senate by Carter Glass, one of the most repulsive characters ever to emerge from the swamp.

Sent an email to the paper in Hawaii and said they just lost people coming to Hawaii now and in the future.

Clearly, Hirono was merely reading aloud a statement. She tripped over a number of words so it seems she was seeing it herself for the first time as she was reading it aloud.

Klobuchar also merely read from a statement written for her. The exchange with Barr about whether she was talking about a pardon made it clear she had no idea what she was reading.

I wonder who is coordinating all this. Senator Feinstein’s staff perhaps?

She is pathetic. If you want to be a rage-monkey and step over every single line of reasonable and decent behavior, that’s fine...just try not to be in the U.S. Senate (or the House, for that matter) when you do it.

By the way, I want everyone to note how she behaves WITHOUT POWER...and to then understand what kind of a regime (not a government, a regime) we would be living under if she and people like her are ever in charge again. We’re getting a taste of it in the House. These people are nothing less than full-on totalitarians, and the only reason that they sometimes behave is that they have no choice. If they actually had a choice, they’d herd most of us to re-education camps or to the edge of large pits.

I have never seen a US Senator make an ass of herself like Hirono did, it was pathetic.

Yep. I was shocked that she even surpassed Harris in that category. But Harris put up a good fight, as did Booker. It was a lot of fun to watch Barr become a brick wall to their spit balls. :)

Rosenstein is resigning this month, so his work to try to unseat President Trump is over. Thank God he failed.
