I read about some guy who agreed to have his girlfriend’s baby aborted. He went on to become a pastor and spoke of having “lost a child to abortion.”
That’s like the Menendez brothers
losing their parents to murder.
Would that be Lon Solomon, by any chance. He runs a Bible-believing (as far as I can tell) church in northern Virginia. I listened to his sermon on God’s plan for sex and marriage one night.
As it turned out, before he came to Christ at age 21, Pastor Solomon had around a dozen female sexual partners, IIRC, and he got one of his girlfriends to abort their kid. But the way he talks about it now, having been Saved 25 years ago, he freely says that he murdered his child, not that he lost his child to abortion, as though abortion was some item with independent agency that stalked him and his lover.
That sounds like the guy. I’m not clever enough to make up ‘lost to abortion,’ on my own, though. Sorry I can’t cite it.
Like I said, Mr. Solomon painted the event in his sermon on sex and marriage as murdering his own child. An open admission of what he did, and how he now regards it. So maybe you’re thinking of another pastor.
