Left-Wing Ideology: A Cult, a Religion, or Science?

Socialists like Gramscii, are often atheists, and so they have strong views on “religious” subjects, and thus a strong “religious” worldview (ie. a religion). Like a regular religion, their socialism often gives them a sense of meaning in life, as they try to usher in a utopian “heaven on earth.” Since Socialists are unwilling to learn from history that socialism doesn’t work, they are unscientific because they are unwilling to see that the data doesn’t support their hypothesis (socialism). This unwillingness to adjust their hypothesis in light of contrary data goes against the Scientific Method. I believe that this is a brief summary of what the author was saying.
