National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow denounced Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., Sunday after the 2020 White House candidate said President Trump was "taking credit for a recovery that started under [former President Barack] Obama."
"What Mr. Booker and some others are saying is simply not true factually," Kudlow told Fox News' "America's News HQ".
Kudlow spoke two days after the publication of the April jobs report, which showed that the American economy added 263,000 jobs last month while the unemployment rate fell to 3.6 percent, the lowest since 1969. Despite the rosy numbers, Booker insisted that the boom's effects were not being felt across all economic levels.

Obama was the mastermind behind the 8 year recovery. Most economic recoveries take 2-3 years. Obama’s recovery took 8 years to kick in, and those 8 years just happened to coincide with his 8 years in office. Imagine that. You would have thunk the genius, in all his brilliance, would have been able to engineer a recovery that actually took place while he was still in office.

Blame your predecessor for all YOUR problems first half of term and then take credit for your successor’s successes first half of his term.
If your successor flops or staggers, just claim it was straightening out when you left.
Like Biden last week - saying he should get the nomination etc because of all his experience in DC...then - before the canned applause dies down he was railing about DC being broken and needs him to fix it even though he was a member-a leading member at that.
