Hundreds of former Justice Department officials said in an open letter released Monday that President Donald Trump would be facing multiple felony charges stemming from the Russia investigation if he were not President.

The letter posted online by Justice Department alumni, who served under presidents from both parties, said the report from special counsel Robert Mueller contained repeated instances of Trump committing obstruction of justice, and that he would have been charged with obstruction if he was not protected as President by an opinion from the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel that Mueller cited. ...

Why would Mueller even write this knowing McGahn never had the authority to fire Mueller?

**************

Because he was a major player in the political inquisition to remove Trump from office. Mueller was supposed to be the Trump Slayer but in the end he exposed himself as a pathetic puppet of the Deep State.

But when you ask them to explain, in detail, how he did it(which he didn’t) they either describe something that isn’t a crime, is a he said-he said situation, or the old fallback....he obstructed justice. It’s like their collusion accusation.

Q: How did Donald Trump collude with the Russians? A: He colluded. Q: How? A: He colluded. Q: How did he collude. A: He colluded.

Q: How did he Obstruct Justice? A: He obstructed justice. Q: How? A: He obstructed. Q: One more time, how? A: he obstructed.

This is no different than when AG Barr told Feinstein, “that’s not a crime”. These people are insane.

What should be really frightening, How many people have these 300 prosecuted, who were railroaded into taking a plea?

Kind of like Assange’s crime of Conspiracy to Hack a Computer. What computer? They have to name it. Actually, he should waive his extradition and demand all their evidence in Discovery. Let them name the computer he conspired to hack. If its the DNC computer, they’re going to have a lot of explaining to do and allow an independent investigator to look at it. I think he should hire that former NSA guy, Binney. The one who has already come out and say that it was an inside job and the info was downloaded on a thumbdrive. That oughta be fun to watch.

Am I in the Twilight Zone? Where are all these anti-Constitutionalists coming from? There seems to be an endless supply — as if some gate to hell opened up.

Well, I and dozens of my co-workers who held security clearances think Hillary Clinton should be in prison for that home mail server she had and all the classified information she passed on unsecure networks. Our opinions have about as much weight as those former DOJ lawyers.

This says more about the political bias of the DoJ than it does about any alleged obstruction by Trump.

Obstructing an illegal investigation that was created to cover up crimes is not a crime....it is a duty.

Hundreds of former Justice Department officials said in an open letter released Monday that President Donald Trump would be facing multiple felony charges stemming from the Russia investigation if he were not President...now let's see how many we can get to sign a letter saying that Hillary Clinton would be facing multiple felony charges if she weren't ......well, Hillary Clinton........

(And by the way, former Justice Department Officials - whatever that means - Mueller has already told Barr that the standard that a sitting President couldn't be charged or indicted had nothing to do with his non-decision on obstruction of justice - that is, the non-decision was made with no consideration of Trump's position as President)......
