“Ergo, the banning of conservatives from the social media is NOT a CIA plot. It just doesn’t pass the smell (or rational judgment) test.”
They aren’t here to observe, listen to, and hack conservatives, or any of their enemies for that matter. All that information is used for one thing. Political repression. There comes a tipping point that all suppressing their target becomes worthwhile.
Banning you from all participation is the modern equivalent of marching you to a ditch on the edge of town and shooting you. We have reached the point where they can gain more traction by identifying conservatives and stopping the propagation of ideas, stopping the flow of money related to those ideas, stopping the ability to rapidly organize, and stopping the ability of conservatives to interdict government (enemy) propaganda.
So it does indeed pass the smell test and the rational judgement test. Holding Assange incommunicado is the same concept.
Maybe it's a glass half full/half empty kind of thing, but I'm quite hopeful the pendulum will swing back our way.
That said, I will take your comment to heart and think about it.
