And a follow-on question for these “same-sex marriages” … how are the children subjected to these arrangements to see what a person of the opposite sex is like … how they behave … how they relate to persons of their opposite sex?
I suggest they keep buggering each other until one of them becomes pregnant...and if that sick miracle happened, they’d probably abort...
After all the fawning and attention and buildup by the national Media, I don't see how he remains mayor of a (relatively) small town, and not move on to running for the House or Senate.
He’s been term-limited out of office in South Bend. (His protege just won the Dem primary to succeed him.) He can’t win statewide office in Indiana, not even election to Congress from his district, because he is too far left (and too gay). This is his bid for national fame and a lifetime of political perks.
I see. He’ll no doubt get a book deal, and grab as much campaign cash as possible, before it’s over.

I made it back for two days this September, the first time since ‘04. I was in something of a daze, but it certainly has changed.
My parents have made it back much more often, but the last several times have stuck to visiting family in the valley and the Medford area because Dad finds it too depressing to see the actual South Coast (he’d lived in the area between Scottsburg and Greenacres for a good 40 years with the exception of college (mostly in Ashland) and Viet Nam. He had found that it changed enough that he was not really going back, but seeing instead that his past is gone.
I heard that the wrecking yard in Greenacres burned real good.
You have to like trees and water a lot to get past what the south coast has become. I heard that Jordan Cove failed to get permitted, so that’s still up in the air.
I spent some time talking with a 50-something couple that was set on moving here. They live between Denver and Boulder. They were out in the rain, fishing, so they might be OK. They were driving a rented black Caddy with California plates. They definitely felt the chill because of that. I had to laugh. They’re in a position to buy an acreage, get some kind of jobs, and get along fine, I guess. I warned them that this area has a way of defeating economic prosperity at every turn. They were undaunted. It seems that Colorado has become unlivable for them. Thea area they’re in was swallowed up by the two cities.
Trees, water, hills, and somewhere between 20-60% of the inhabitants are what I miss.
Dad was asked this past weekend what he missed, and his list was the first three.
Being unemployed for a year (’98-’99) and able to find absolutely nothing other than some clean up work on the New Carissa because he was over qualified for the handful of positions in the area and so refused interviews left a mark (he was qualified to do stuff with the New Carissa that nearly no one else locally could do).
I went through the HazMat class for the clean-up, but didn’t follow through. The lasting impression I got from that was that the Feds couldn’t be trusted to start a fire with 80,000 gallons of bunker oil at their disposal. Also, Kitzhaber visited. He had a Hummer out in the dunes, and lost his State Pllice escort. Probably had Sylvia with him. He couldn’t be bothered with the wreck until the aft section broke a tow line and threatened to drift ashore near Lincoln City, where he owned a home.
Like most dems, they want them for photo ops and to do corrupt deal and get a degree of separation from them while receiving the cash. Otherwise, babies are better off being killed before birth.
