Why the Media Suddenly Lost Interest in the Latest School Shooting
The American Thinker ^ | May 13, 2019 | Brian C. Joondeph

Posted on 05/13/2019 5:42:52 AM PDT by xzins

School shootings are terrible events -- except for the left where they represent opportunities, as in Rahm Emanuel’s “Never let a crisis go to waste”

...

After the shooting, other than some virtue signaling by the media, the story has left the front pages, as the narrative may be inconvenient for the leftist agenda. CNN and MSNBC have lived up to their reputation as “drive-by media” by quickly moving on. ...

Speaking of violent behavior, the father of one of the shooters is a twice deported illegal from Mexico, jailed previously for domestic violence against the shooter’s mother. Illegals are revered by the Democrat Party and any connection between an illegal and the shooting will be dutifully ignored by most of the media.

Lastly one of the Colorado shooters was transgender, a female transitioning into a male. I’m sure there is a specific gender identity term for such a person, but I am not woke enough to know what that term is. Suffice it to say, a female becoming a male will be taking testosterone. There is scientific evidence of association between higher testosterone levels and aggressive or violent behavior.

In the mainstream media, transgenders are the highest form of human evolution. It would be most inconvenient to raise even the possibility of an association between gender transitioning and recent school shooting, so don’t expect Meet the Press or Face the Nation to discuss any of this.

It would have been so much more convenient for Morning Joe or Jake Tapper if the Colorado school shooters were cis-gendered, white, Christian males, members of the NRA, wearing MAGA hats while brandishing AR-15s. But since that wasn’t the case, don’t expect the media to linger on this shooting. Instead they will focus on Trump’s real estate tax losses from 30 years ago.

Rather than a receptive audience, the vigil organizer, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, instead saw, “A walkout by students opposing what they viewed as politicization of the tragedy.”

The swamp is trying hard to cover up a lot of more serious stuff. They did not even support the Colorado demonicrat that wax under recall and resigned. Maybe there is a lot of panic in the district of criminals.

Also, the MSM would have to address the heroism of ROTC Riley Howell and Kendrick Castillo. It’s impossible to have ‘toxic masculinity’ talking points when someone displayed such bravery as to lay down his life for his fellow students.

Also, hundreds of students and parents walked out when an event portrayed as a vigil in memory of Kendrick Castillo turned out to be nothing more than a Brady Campaign gun control rally. https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/frank-miniter-student-walkout-at-colorado-shooting-vigil-is-a-good-sign

CDC sends team to investigate....

Since Aug. 13, 12 teens living in the Perry, Plain, Jackson, Northwest and Canton Local school districts have died by suicide, prompting local mental health experts to label it a suicide contagion and rattling residents who continue to search for answers as to why the deaths occurred.

Something’s going on around here.

don’t expect the media to linger on this shooting

The media NEVER lingers on any story with inconvenient facts that run counter to the liberal narrative. In fact, they are not legitimate news outlets; they are merely purveyors of leftist propaganda.

My sense is that the democrat party (and Rino Party) are owned, as is the media, and that they do the bidding of their masters, whoever they might be.

I don't see them as independent entities.

I agree. Both parties work largely for their special interest masters, not us. Big campaign “contributions” and large voting blocks get the immediate attention of all politicians. They listen to them, but pretend to pay attention to us. Its all a big game, the results of which are clearly unfortunate for our republic.
