Wow. she was just a few months older than my dear old Dad, who passed in 2008. Rest in peace Doris. . . you were a fine lady and we miss your kind in Hollywood.

I have to say, I always enjoyed her movies. I had a great uncle, a WWII Navy vet, who enjoyed her music. Farewell to a good one.

I remember reruns of her TV show on at about 5:00pm on Global TV up in my locale back in the mid to late 1970s.
